Story here. (http://www.macuser.co.uk/news/271771)
Have I done my sums right? - that's about two and a quarter hours of delicious TVC per month!! :bulgy-eyes: (Assuming no other data usage AT ALL that month.)
Surely this is a very bad decision on Orange's part? Back to WiFi-only for iPhone users?

Sounds like a massive back-pedaling from Orange, once they realised the reaction in the market! Good news! (and hopefully a clear warning to other operators who consider capping data volumes.)

It sure is.
Theirs sence with operators capping services in high use areas, to ensure a stable service to all but if the service is in use they need to create a better infrastructure.
iPhone is the first of many high usage phones, time to upgrade the network and remove caps in my opinion.

Ok they won't cut us off if we go over 750MB, but will they make us pay £5 per MB over or someother ridiculous price?
And I want to hear this on the orange website or directly from them.

I take your point that it is just another newspaper report... then get on your bike on go down the road to the local Orange shop and get it in writing off them:)

I can assure you now that you WILL NOT be charged if you go over 750MB.
Any network has a fair use policy. Just look at the state of O2's network in recent weeks.
Read the link above again, and you'll see.
Consider this as hearing from them. :rotfl:

No O2 is unlimited, but if everyone streams so much video and intensive browsing then they will block sites such as TVC.
It's actually in their conditions that you don't stream continuous video over their network, so they are being very kind in allowing us to do so(which I find strange for such a big company, in a good way)

Don't you think TVCatchup would have been over this before venturing into this area?
I can assure you that TVC will not be blocked:)

I know it will not be blocked but that is what it is saying in their terms. It was a badly worded post :)
