View Full Version : Possible Solution: Log In Problems on iPhone Version of TVCatchup Webpage

For those who are having trouble with logging in to the iPhone version of the TVCatchup website:
I seem to notice that when you tap the 'Go' key on the on-screen keyboard, the log in error persists. However, if you tap on the orange 'Login' button on the actual web page, the login is successful and works as it should.
Solution: So therefore try to tap on the orange 'Login' button rather than the 'Go' button on the on-screen keyboard.
There must be some coding error somewhere.
Hope this helps everyone and of course the administrators at TVCatchup.

NB. This problem has now been fixed. For resolution steps, please check posts #3 and #6.

If you press "GO" on iphone keypad you receive a login bug, which shows the word "Success"
If you press "LOGIN" on website, this bug does not occur.
Thank you DRAGOLIZER, for pointing this out this bug in the Beta Iphone Website. Im sure a resolution will soon be made.
Fixed: TVC_James quickly found a solution to this bug. If anyone continues to have this problem showing "Success" page. Try clearing your temporary internet files and Cache.

Hello All,
After struggling with this all day, I changed my Safari settings to accept cookies, and hey presto it works.

I signed my son up for this and added it to his home page - on his ipod touch it will not log in yet when I try his log in details on my ipod touch it logs in no problems - have checked all the settings are the same and it still wont work - any ideas ?

1. Close the TVCatchup Tab, in your iphone Safari Browser.
2. Close Safari
3. Go to Settings->Safari
4. Ensure that Javascript and Plug-Ins are Enabled. (Turn them OFF and ON again)
5. Ensure that "Accept Cookies" is set to "From Visited" or "Always"
6. Click "Clear History"
7. Click "Clear Cookies"
8. Click "Clear Cache"
9. Turn your iphone completely OFF for a few moments, then turn it back on again.

10. Open Safari Browser
11. As to Step 1, TVCatchup should be closed. So now type "http://iphone.tvcatchup.com"
12. Click the "Login" button
13. Enter Username
14. Click "Next"
15. Enter Password
16. Click "Done" on top (Not "Go" on bottom)
17. Click on the Orange "Login" button.
18. The page should now refresh and say "Logged In As USERNAME" in Orange at the top?
19. Watch TV
