Tried searching the forum but couldn't find this listed anywhere so thought I'd post this tip.

If you are using Kaspersky Internet Security, you may get an "Advertisement. Please Wait ..." status which never changes. To fix this you'll need to add TVcatchup to your Anti-Banner White List. Follow these steps:


Open Kaspersky by double-clicking the 'K' icon in the system tray
Click 'Settings' in the top-right of the window
Select 'Anti-Banner' from the list on the left of the dialog (bottom of the 'Protection' category)
Press the bottom 'Settings' button to configure the white list
Click 'Add' at the bottom of the window that appears
Enter the following in the URL text field: "*.tvcatchup.com/*" (without quotes)
Keep on clicking OK until you've closed the Settings dialog
Close the Kaspersky window


Now go back to your web browser and refresh the page (press F5).

For Kaspersky Internet security 2010 open Settings, click Anti-banner on left side of window, made sure "Use White list of addresses" is checked, click on "Settings" next to it, add tvcatchup.com to the list, click apply, ok etc. and it should work fine then.

I have encountered problems watching TVCatchup after installing this software recently. I have noted from some postings that others have encountered the same problem. Basically what happens is that when you are trying to watch any of the TV channels Kaspersky blocks the ad which is always shown when switching to a channel. A message reading "connecting to adserver.tvcatchup.com" is shown in the lower left corner of the screen, which stays black. I went through a number of suggested actions from Kaspersky customer support and from the TVCatchup forum, none of which worked. What finally resolved my problem is the following sequence:
1. Open Kaspersky
2. Select Settings (upper right)
3. Under "Protection Center" (left side listing) select "Anti Banner" (lowermost)
4. Unclick "Enable Anti- Banner"
5. OK, and close Kaspersky

Note: adding tvcatchup and/or adserver.tvcatchup on the allowed URLs under anti-banner did not work. This seems to be a problem with Kaspersky.
