Hi all,

Just watched the above programme on BBC2 and it was quite thought
provoking. I know North Korea is a world in its own but was shocked by how oppressive it is. The length people go through to have a chance to live a normal life. It really made me appreciate my circumstances. Anyone else watch it? Good effort BBC.

Cheers

Didn't see it myself, but I watched a programme before about North Korea concerning the lack power in the City's and they have to have a blackout at 9pm...no wonder they have so many babies:bulgy-eyes:

I did not see the program but would take any of these with a pinch of salt. I am sure most North Koreans have a happy normal life.

I was trying to sort out a trip to see for myself but the cost for a one week visit was 1000 pounds and getting a visa is not easy unless you go with a group. I was reluctant to go with people I do not know as I felt there would be a high probability that some of them would be journalist or spies.

There has been a lot of fuss about the North Koreans launching one missile as everyone assumes it is for military reasons rather than anything else but I am quite sure the Americans have launched countless missiles into space for warfare so it only seems fare.

I doubt the North Koreans would target Japan anyway as half the pachinko parlours are owned by North Koreans so the chances of hitting one of their money supplies is quite high.

If anyone is seriously interested and has some money to spare PM me and I will see if I still have details on booking a holiday.
