Well, yes it is. I can mute ads on the TV, on youtube etc. TVC is the only site I've come across where the ads aren't mutable. If it's in their contract that the ads must be played at full volume...

The advert volume problem is not a figment of people's imagination, I've brought it up before too. The issue is that when ads are starting the player sets its volume to max, it ignores any adjustment...
