Thread: TVC for XBMC4Xbox Problem

  1. #1

    Default TVC for XBMC4Xbox Problem

I'm running three XMBC xboxes, and all three have stopped working.

I can load the plugin, it downloads the EPG and displays correctly, but when going to select an item (say BBC3 for Family Guy) it looks like it will load, then doesn't.

No error is reported, and I am able to play the same show on my iPhone using the app, through the same network.

If you can tell me where I can find my log files on the Xbox, I will happily upload one of them.

    Thank you,

Wow, the EPG works on the old Xbox's brill. Right, back to business. I know you say there's no errors reported, but if you look in the log, can you see if it's receiving the stream link and if it's the doing anything with it please?

I'll have a dig around in the folder, for the log and upload ASAP.

Thank you for the quick reply.

    Hi Dj,

I've just had a look through the TVC folder, and unable to find any log (only the changelog).

Any ideas where I should find it?

If it's Linux based then it'll be .xbmc/temp/

I've done a log, but only found one thing about TVC within it, the rest is issues with getting my episodes on my NAS drive.

I see what you mean, it's failing to load the stream, but without any error. It's a long shot, but check your MTU value in your router.

    DJ,

I don't have any MTU, as I'm DSL.

I will just say, one of the XBMC's is on another network, but has the same problem.
I've checked the time settings, to see if it was that, and still the same problem.

Ok, just a long shot anyway.

It's not time related or anything like that, it's not even the plugin that's at fault, it seems like XBMC is getting the stream and just doesn't know what to do with it. Have you got XBMC installed on a PC or anything so we can see if it's unique to the xbox's or an issue on your network?
