Default T-Mobile UK and Orange to merge

T-Mobile UK and Orange are to merge - becoming the UK's biggest mobile phone firm with 28.4 million customers.
The deal between Orange owner France Telecom and Deutsch Telekom's T-Mobile UK will create a business with sales of 9.4bn euros (£8.2bn; $13.5bn).
The merged firm will have about 37% of the UK mobile market - overtaking the current market leader, Telefonica's O2.

I actually HATE this, im on orange and have been for years now, the news of these two healthy rivals coming together is rubbish.

I dont like being told that my signal's going to get better when I know it wont either.

T-Mobile UK is german is owned by germans, Orange by French, O2 by Spain. I never knew this, Im switching to Vodafone.

Im not bothered to be honest, I havent had an Orange sim for many years but they where once great. Ive never had T-Mobile because if their high rates. If they merge together then maybe they will be a contender for my business.

I can't comment on contract plans, but I personally haven't found any other company that can offer Pay as You Go texts as cheap as T-Mobile. I can send 3 texts for a cheaper price than 1 text on orange. That's right 3p texts, to use whenever I want. Not like Orange and others where you have to use XXX number of texts a month to get a price below 10p. Calls aren't cheap, but ain't exactly breaking the bank either... think it's something like 20p/minute.

I have piles of O2 sims, my first business selling BT Cellnet then O2 Sim cards. Everyone loved them for cheap texts (bit more than 3p i think) but the 500 free texts come in usefull.
Their slacking now though, they never used to charge unless a call connects, now they do which p**es me of.
