    Question MCE Remote Control

    Hi,

I have just come across the Media Centre add in for TVCatchup after using the service for a while on my iPhone and I think its excellent.

However when using the Media Centre remote to change the channels it seems to skip two channels so from BBC1 to ITV for example and then up again is Five. I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this or whether it may be a problem on my side. I am using the addin on two laptops one running Win 7 and the other Vista, both 32 bit.

Thanks again, great addition to Media Centre in my bedroom where we dont have an aerial.

    Mike

    Hi Mike

I havent got a Remote attached to my test machine only my live machine. I might no what this is though. MCE process' key presses and remote presses seperatley so it may be detecting remote press channel up and also the key press associated with this which is Page Up ence as if the key has been pressed twice. I will have a look at this and get back to you.

In the mean time you can type the channel number using the remote , ie 2 for BBC TWO etc.

    Regards, Steve

I have just uploaded a fix for this double channel change. Please feedback if there is still an issue.

Many thanks for this as I had the same issue. One newbie question: when you say you have uploaded a fix, is that obtained via the download links in this thread or by some other means?

This plugin is now web based and hosted online. The plugin is basically a web page your viewing designed with the MCE SDK so it intergrates with MCE and its functionality. This means if I update the plugin online everyone automatically starts to use the new version. When you install the plugin you are only installing an icon and a shortcut to the web page!
