Question XBOX Media Centre Plugin for the XBOX!

Hi, I'm wondering if its been fixed yet. I know there are other threads on the subject but they've been hijacked by the windows version even though it has nothing to do with the XBOX

I hate to argue with you, but actually the various builds are built from the same source. As for getting the plugin back on the XboX and back within XBMC in general, I have a meeting with a couple of the guys at the weekend so I'm hoping to go over the API stuff them. Please just bear with me a little longer.

Thanks for the update DJ. I wasn't arguing however the XBMC was originally created for the XBOX hence the name. Windows having its own version is great but the name causes problems

No the 360 doesn't have XBOX Media Centre (XBMC). See what I mean about the confusion, dj_gerbil

Id agree its slightly confusing, but thats down to history.
Xbox was a bad name, once they introduce xbox360 as anything related to "xbox" implies that.
The XMBC is confusing as it started on the old xbox, but now thats dead they have diversified to other platforms. Nothing much we can do, and i dbout they will change their name as xbmc is well known "brand".

Yea, I do see what you mean. Unfortunately I didn't choose the name and as H4U says, I really don't think they will change it now. As for the 360, I can't say too much, but lets just say they may be in development.

Hi guys, I'm a little bit confused her now sorry. Is there anything out there that will allow me to watch TVCatchup on XMBC running on my original, softmodded XBOX1? Just moved house and got no TV chanels, thought this would be nice for a few days

At the moment, no. But I now have some of the necessary information I was waiting for to get it back onto the XboX. Hopefully it'll be sorted soon.

Thats awesome news! I found an old version that I had (not working) before. Tried that out just to get a feel for things, and it got further than before (I now have the latest version on XBMC). Loaded up all the lists just couldnt actually do anything. Damn it looked sweet!

Just imagining now.. modding my xbox to be mini (Something like THIS), XBMC on the go, BBCi Player, TVCatchUp, streaming Movies and Music over from my PC. Damn, sounds sweet!
