Default Things to do with an 8 year old girl.

I will be looking after my friends daughter whilst she is away on business.

It is a long stint as I will be there from 10.00 in the morning to 22.00 at night.

Other than helping with homework I have to find some way of entertaining her instead of just sitting in front of television or computer.

You should also be aware I have a terrible attention span myself.

Any GOOD and DECENT ideas would be welcome.

Do what I am doing today, taking my six-year-old skating in the morning and then in the afternoon we are going to the cinema.

How about what I did yesterday with my nine year old son:-
bowling alley on the morning, on to MacD for lunch
play pub on afternoon (ball room etc)
hopefully she will have Nintendo DS or something to keep her busy in between
on the evening how about a DVD (tell her to bring her favourite)

These options will costs you money but I think it will be worth it!

    Hope it goes well.

Errrmm, Ben forget about taking her skating as I took my daughter today and she fell over and has maybe cracked a bone in her arm.
My wife and sister-in-law are with her in the hospital now getting an x-ray.
Stick to computer games, it's a damn site safer!!

Sorry to her about your daughter, Colwal, dreadful news mate

Now you are going to have to keep her entertained with her arm in plaster. That's going to test your skills
