And that (as discussed here quite a lot) is due to the fact that there is no flash support whatsoever on the iphone. Adobe has confirmed that it has looked into developing flash support for the iphone platform, however Apple seem not too interested in having that support available. One major limitation of flash applications is that flash hammers the CPU and the iphone (and ipod touch) units might not be able to cope with such processing. Even if such flash support were to be rolled out across Apple's flagship mobile devices, streaming media such as TV Catchup would be very slow and unbearable to watch, rendering the device unsuitable for such applications, not to mention pretty hot too! Even if a well optimised scaled down version of flash were made available by Adobe for the iphone platform, battery lifetimes (and device temperatures) would suffer greatly.
