Can I watch tvcatchup on laptop through iphone?

Hi all

I know this is probably an iphone question more than a tvcatchup question so forgive me. Plus also forgive if this has been asked before...I have searched the forums.

I'd like to play tvcatchup through my work laptop. Does anyone know if this is possible? I have a 3GS. Thanks



Sorry, edit...I don't have a tv licence at work hence the question (I know I could simply watch it on the laptop!)

Does the iphone now allow tethering?
If not you would have to jailbreak it, not something id recommend, then tether it.

If you can tether your phone, and Vodafone is not your mobile ISP, then I dont see any reason why it wont work.

hhhmmm tethering, not sure. What do you mean by that and how then if I can tether?

I have a 3gs on vodafone and I can watch tvcatchup on my laptop when tethered to my iphone...

Rgsoton > go to settings, general, network.. do u have the internet tethering option?
If so, turn it on and connect your iphone to laptop via usb or bluetooth..
If not, search for "how to activate internet tethering on iphone"

If you want to watch tvcatchup just go to the website www.tvcatchup.com were you get a bigger screen and loads more channels

He'd want to use his iphone to connect his laptop to the internet like a mobile broadband dongle.

I did this yesterday, but keep an eye on your bandwidth and don't watch anything too long and use the low quailty stream.

(personally I see no reason why you can't it's pretty much the same as if you were watching it on your phone except its on a different screen)
