Default View TVC on Sony Ericsson Elm

I have a Sony Ericsson elm and can view things like YouYube on it. When I go on tvc via my phone, I can log in, click on a channel but when it come to choosing the quality most appropriate for my phone, if I click on any of them it says failed to connect to media server. How can I get it to work?

Hi Heathyb, i have done some checking for you and it looks like your phone won't work on TVC or M.TVC its mainly down to your phones browser being the weak link, and the built in Media Player not being able to stream anything but UTUBE. Which is a shame because you cant download apps or browsers, as this phone wont allow you to.

Is there anything I can do to change my browser and to make it compatible with TVC?

Hi, from what i can find it looks like your options are very limited with the Sony Elm. You could try this method to see if it works, go to this Sony site and download Getjar App: http://wap.sonyericsson.com/#ts=1283...ontentItemId=0

Then on Getjars website download 'Bolt browser' :http://www.getjar.com/mobile/27676/b...csson-j10-elm/
if the built -in Media plays M.TVC, that should have you sorted. If it wont the at least you will have better browser. Good luck.

Hi heathyb, did you download Bolt, and if you did is it working ok on the net. If you are getting as far as failed to connect to Media Server save 'Rtsp Temp' to mass memory then ok it,this will save some of the data to allow stream to start,if it does not work try a different channel. 'Note' i think you only need to save 'Rtsp Temp' once. I am still learning about how Bolt works. Hope it works for you.

Hi heathyb, good to hear Bolt is working. Its possible that you might not see 'Rtsp Temp', it depends on your phones set -up. After you have selected LQ it should open you phones media player, if it wont connect check your Media Players access point is the same as Bolt otherwise it wont stream. Because your phone has a Java based operating system it makes it more difficult to stream video. Just out of interest will it play UTUBE with Bolt.

Youtube does in fact work using Bolt. It says connecting to Media server then the video plays but TVC it won't get that far.
