Hi,

I am currently in the final year of my degree and would love to use TVCatchUp in one of my projects.

Is there any information regarding the API anywhere, I would be building the applications in both Flash and Silverlight as part of my assignment is to compare the technologies.

I would be happy to work with you and share all my code to help others with development.

Although I dont think I will struggle too much with the flash, i think silverlight may not be possible due to file formats. Thats what I found with youtube's API.

Although im not really that experienced with rich media, I am a C# developer and I need to build a flash & silverlight app using an API and considering this I use this site more than any other avaliable API's, why not!

Can you please edit the TVC wiki because it says there that the API is OPEN source

TVC wik is not our responsibility as it is maintained by wik users and if fact the mods there are very strict on impartiality.

*Edit* No where on that page does it say that the API is 'open source'

It doesn't say that. The variables made available to users of the API are completely open source, not the API itself, which forms part of the proprietary coding of this website developed over several years of unpaid and very hard work and is fully covered by international patents and copyright as applicable

Fair enough then. Could you point me in the right direction as to where these variables are as I'm working on a project that needs to access the TVC player.

Seems a funny way of asking us, by attacking a wiki about the site and non exiostent "open source" items and then posting up private messages from admins?

We will be accepting calls from third party developers when we have updated the api, as detailed in this post: http://forums.tvcatchup.com/showthre...4580#post44580

Our first concern is the protection of this site and the continuity of service for users, not third party projects
