    Default Sync Issues

    Issue 1:

I am experiencing a/v sync issues with many channels, on SD and also HD. Is this an ongoing problem, something which occasionally happens to everyone or something specific to my machine?

    Issue 2:

The mystery of the disappearing 'HD' content... At one stage, almost half of the channels were available in 'HD' quality, now most of the time it is just BBC and ITV and C4. What's occurring?

    Thanks

You should not receive Sync issues, this looks like a computer specific issue. We've had flagged up some issues with Adobe Flash and its Hardware Acceleration. You can try toggling it off or on (depending on what it is now) to see if it has any effect, some people have had good results by downgrading flash.

The HQ Content is in beta and in testing, our selection of HQ content should grow.

I was just about to post my own thread about audio sync. I'm also suffering problems and I get it with hardware acc on or off.

I think your problem maybe this my friend Adobe Flash 10.1 r82

    Try this:
For Windows Vista (not too sure about Windows 7, but I guess it is the same)
1.Open System by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking System.
    2. In the left pane, click Advanced system settings. Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    3. On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
    4. Click the Advanced tab, and then, under Virtual memory, click Change.
    5. Clear the Automatically manage paging file size for all drives check box.
    6. Under Drive [Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file you want to change.
    7. Click Custom size, type a new size in megabytes in the Initial size (MB) or Maximum size (MB) box, click Set, and then click OK.

Next (On both XP and Vista) Choose a channel and when the flash player is playing a stream, Right click in the middle of the picture and choose Settings. Next toggle the Hardware acceleration on and off and then refresh the stream to see which the best for your system is. Finally, in the same settings box, fix local storage to maximum.

    Here is some more help:
What you need to do is to uninstall flash correctly not through add and remove as it will leave bits behind.

To uninstall Flash use the Adobe flash tool here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

    To download version 10: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp10_archive.zip"]Flash Player 10

Find flash version 10.32 in that folder and install it.
