Mine is the same, I was asked to fill in my date of birth, occupation etc, and hasnt worked since then!!! just a black screen and nothin else, it was fine before then!!

ok, I have same problem. Black screen and no attempt to dl data. fine if I use IE.

The black screen issue is caused by ad-blocking software installed/enable on your pc. This software may be:
- an inbuilt setting in your internet browser
- an addon you have added to your internet browser
- a feature in your antivirus / firewall software
- third-party software you have installed
In your particular case, the fact that IE works fine but FireFox does not, suggests that you have an ad blocker addon for FireFox. The most popular is adblock plus, but there are others. You will need to whitelist the tvcatchup.com domain, to watch TVC in firefox.
We are working with our advertisers to allow users with adblockers to use the service, but the immediate fix is to temporarily disable any adblocking software when using tvcatchup.

Hi, I do have adblock, but didnt have tvcatchup page blocked, as its always worked fine up to last week. I did use another threads workaround, by clearing flash cache and still didnt work yesterday. For some reason, may be a re boot, its all working again today, so it may well have been the flash update together with something in the cache.
Working well now, not much use for the other guys, but really good to know someone is around at the engine end that cares.
keep up the really good work. I dont mind the ads either, it all has to be paid for after all.

adblock, automatically blocks TVCatchup as we found us on their black list along with channel 4, ITV, and all ad related companies, so it maybe that you will have to allow an exception for TVCatchup

Its intermittant for me. About an hour ago it was a black screen, just now it loaded straight up with bbc1,
Usually I would think it was an adblocker (or my hosts file) blocking any prestart adverts, however, you don't push any.
Hi, I have recently found that when I start TVCatchup via WMC i get left with a screen showing "Loading 'BBC One' ..." with a black background. this then prevents anything else loading or doing anything except the control buttons back, windows, minimise and close at the top of the screen. General computer controls still work, and so do all other programs.
I have 64 bit win 7 pro... and have tried uninstalling. really looking forawrd to those featurs that arnt up and running yet though!
How have others solved this?
