Paul Gascoigne has been arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs one day after being warned he could face prison for drink-driving.
Best thing that can happen to Gascoigne at the moment is for him to go to prison, it's the only way he is going to be able to lay off the booze (and now drugs) for any period of time.
If he's left to carry on the way he has been it is only going to end in a disastrous way either for himself or others, and personally I would feel sad at either result.
