Denizens of Anonymous defaced a website run by the Westboro Baptist Church on Thursday during a live radio interview.

An ongoing spat between the controversial church of GodHatesFags fame and the loosely knit hacking collective began last weekend with a message threatening hacks against websites that, depending on who you believe, was posted either by the Church itself or a faction of Anonymous. Another faction of Anonymous distanced itself from the plan, categorising Westboro Baptist Church as trolls looking for attention.

I heard that Anonymous were thinking of attacking this so-called church, but I also heard that the official voice of Anonymous denied this, still at least we know where they are based now, the good ole US of A, and wouldn't be too surprised if we see other US attacks in coming weeks.

Your observations seem to be right, the guys behind anonymous say it was not an official attack but due to being distributed "management" then anyone can organise a attack on anything, if they give good enough reasons..... So this Evil Church got targeted, anon's denied it, but then got annoyed and hacks them live in an interview.

HAHAHA! That made me laugh "The internet was made for that baptist church" or whatever they were and his reply was regarding the gay websites on the internet.

I did laugh when they took the Downloads Page down and gave the women a nice little message now I'm not going to lie but I did honestly expect some form of "Gay Image" just to stick it at her for the internet comment about it for the baptist church.

I think she does really need to wise up on why the internet was created, what for and how it was done.

Is the jist of the last bit, I found it hilirious how she thought that her church's website couldn't be taken offline/manipulated. And how she thought that this story going "viral" was spreading "the word", when actually it was just showing how crazy and out of touch these people are.
