Default The News of the World closing

The News of the World is closing and James Murdoch announced that this Sunday's edition of the News of the World will be its last. All ad space donated to charity. Good job too!!! At least they took the descent way out - although it is a shame they didn't think about descent practice when they were a newspaper <----- and I use that term very lightly!!!

Glad the bunch of idiots are shutting the newspaper down, but could it all be a big publicity stunt before they launch a new newspaper? I wouldn't be surprised if they start bringing out The Sun on a Sunday...

    Mark my words....

I think Stuart that is a forgone conclusion, but a bigger issue here will be if Murdoch's media empire will suffer and personally I hope it does and there are also questions being raised now about Cameron's 'close relationships with News International.
For one person to control 40% of the UK's media is just far too much and I think this story is far from over yet.

I think it is wrong to shut it down. Find and punish the culprits and let the innocent workers and managers keep their jobs.

Don't worry, they'll keep their jobs they'll just be moved to the other publications Sun / Times / Sunday Times etc.

Its shocking that yesterday a best selling newspaper announces they are closing.
They really want to buy BskyB!

I don't read papers often, but its a sad day that something so old and well known ceases to exist.

Andy Coulson to be arrested tomorrow allegedly !!! .... Do we expect Cameron to take a hit in all of this?

Question Time will be good tonight, starts in next few minutes!!
