Default Labour plots to keep MPs’ allowances under wraps in the future

    Hi Guys,

This whole joke is driving me potty. At the beginning of the 2nd paragraph it says that "senior figures from all parties will meet this morning to discuss how to salvage Parliament’s battered reputation".......HELLO........its too late numbnuts. I never trusted politicians from the start and this just adds to any doubts i have about them.

Default Make them work for it.

You can always bombard your local MP with questions to be asked. Everyday just think of something and send them an email. Make them work as hard as you can.
As for the difference between the parties there isn't one.

BTW did you know that within the walls of the palace are a collection of bars and restaurants. Not only is the alcohol untaxed and therefore much cheaper but the food is also subsidised. The place is full of very privalidged people who have forgotten what it is like in the real world.

Anyway I hope there will be a general election and I advise everyone to spoil their ballot paper.

Alternatively TVC can have a few more adverts and Dan can run as an independant in Rochdale.

If you want to talk to your local MP, visit TheyWorkForYou.com.

I dont see no reason in spoil'ing ballot paper. This has been going on for many years, people in real life abuse the benefits and disability system and MP's abuse their benefits system. Something tells me that theirs something wrong with the system, how to fix the system is simple more regulation, more checks and balances.

Theirs no doubt that they will try and will be supported by the other political partys. Unless done without the attention of the press, public wont be happy with this. Especially since we know what we know now.

That was almost exactly the thinking leading to the formation of http://www.juryteam.org/ - a collection of independents.

I have no association with the Jury Team, I'm a member of another larger political party (who in my mind have a lot to answer for!)

Default I like spoiling my ballot paper

Its true I would spoil my ballot paper even if the labour party did a really good job. I have never voted properly my whole life except once when we were given a choice if we wanted a London Mayor. I voted no on that occcasion as I could see no point in having just another lot of people in charge.

To vote properly is to legitimise a system which is fundamentally undemocratic.

As for more checks and balances I am of the view the more complicated the system the easier it is to commit fraud. Plus every check costs more money. Best policy is not to give any allowances they get paid enough as it is.

This was the reteric of conservatives before the economic crisis, wanting to de-regulate the finance industry... now they want more regulation (I hate Cameron)

They could not remove benefits, no MP could support both "large" homes with tennis courts and pools on their one wage, and other expenses, nor sell their homes as market is flooded. If this was the case it would have to remove benefits but a wage increase.. but wouldn't this add extra cost, as their are some honourable mp's that don't claim on their benefits (.. Their is some! not all are bad RR ..)

On side note, BNP launched their Euro 2009 Manifesto today. Which states "We will seek to expose and oppose EU corruption, incompetence, fraud and waste."
This to me is as important as MP's Allowances, as EU as far as I have read have never audited their accounts and Euro MP's have even bigger allowances.
The whole system needs a spring clean.

(bad post, I dont support bnp. Nick Griffin is nearly as annoying as David Cameron.)
