Thread: Plugin not installing

    Default Plugin not installing

    Hi

I'm sure this is user error but I can't spot where!

I've downloaded the plugin and run the "TunerFreeSetup" file as per the readme instructions.

I've then rebooted (several times now) but when I run WMC there's nothing turning up at all under "Extras" or anywhere else.

Is there any way I can look under the hood and see where the plugin has got to?

Are you sure you've downloaded our plugin? TunerFree is a dodgy knock off and we can't support it.

Ok, that's the right file. Have you tried looking under Extra's??

Yup - nothing there except Extras Library which only has "My Movies 4" in it. I've checked the library "manage extras" but its not there either.

Ooooook, that's a little strange. Silly question I know but, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin?

    About 10 times!

I was hoping there was a registry key I could check or something - or some sort of hidden setup menu on WMC

I did say it was a silly question, but it had to be asked. There is a registry key but as I didn't write the plugin I couldn't tell you where it is. I'll email the guy who did write it and see if he can help you out, in the mean time there may well be another user using the plugin that might be able to help you and hopefully they'll be along soon.
