Default Not using an official source to watch tv catchup?

When using tv catchup the other day I got a big blue box popping up telling me that I was not using TVCatchup through an official source.
The only thing I can think it could mean, is that I've been watching TVCatchup on my computer but also streaming it to my iPad using splashtop remote desktop.
    Is that what it was?
Anyway it was working great, but now it is just showing me the black screen when I do it.
The reason I do it is because I can multi task easier on the iPad if I'm streaming my mac on it.
I can watch/ listen to TVCatchup, and open and close new tabs and windows without interrupting the tv channel I'm watching, doing that on the iPad alone is a pain in the ...
Anyway any help would be great as I'd like to keep doing what I was doing.
    Thanks.

Does Splashtop use a web browser for viewing??

Absolutely no idea I'm afraid, it's just displaying my mac on my iPad, sooo, no idea about the technical side of splashtop, it's just click and play with me.

I will set it up later and try it out as I have it on my ipad but haven't used it for ages.

For those who don't know Splashtop is among many other things is a local network remote viewer/controller that you can view your PC on your iPad. I used to use it for a while but found it rather limiting and gave up on it in the end.
Tell us why you use TVCatchup and how? http://alturl.com/f88tv

    That'd be great, thanks.
Also, just thought I'd mention that I can still watch YouTube that way, so I don't think it's the splashtop app that's stopping me seeing the picture.
It's strange, it was working fine, and I haven't changed anything recently, so it's a bit strange.
Anyway, hopefully I'll ne able to work it out.
And I'm always keen to hear of another more efficient desktop remote if anyone knows of one.

I set it up again last night and I had no messages or errors it just worked and I remembered why I have issues with it in that I have two screens on my PC and it is kind of awkward to set up on Slashtop, but once I got that sorted out everything was okay.

I am right that you are using Splashtop Remote Desktop and not Splashtop Streamer?

Well, I'm using Spashtop Remote Desktop, but if I understand correctly, for that to work, you also have to have the Splashtop Streamer installed on the computers you want to connect to remotely, so I think I'm using both.
I've tried it on chrome, safari and Firefox, but it's just a black screen. Strange.

You are correct you do need to install the plugin on your PC that you are remoting to and then the app on your iphone or ipad and then you remote through the app, don't know why you think browsers come into to play as you are directed to your computer through the app not a browser.

Well, I thought it might make a difference that's all, in the past I've found that occasionally TVCatchup will start being weird on one browser, but worked fine on another, at this point I'm trying anything.
I've just realised that it has nothing to do with, Splashtop Remote, it's not playing on the mac (snow leopard) at all, which'll be why im not seeing TvCatchup through splashtop.
Now I'm really confused, again tried all the browsers, YouTube still plays video normally, why won't TvCatchup display.
Can still watch TvCatchup directly on the iPad, but not on my mac, hmmmm.
Also realised this is probably in the wrong bit of the forum now.

Are you using your native safari browser to watch TVC, if not try it please.

Edit just seen you have used it then maybe it is down to some adblocker you have installed???
