Whatever spin people put on it here is the truth.

BREAKING NEWS: Luis Suarez issues apology after refusing to shake Patrice Evra's hand.

A statement from Suarez on the Liverpool website read: "I have spoken with the manager [Kenny Dalglish] since the game at Old Trafford and I realise I got things wrong.
"I have not only let him down but also the club and what it stands for and I'm sorry. I made a mistake and I regret what happened.
"I should have shaken Patrice Evra's hand before the game and I want to apologise for my actions.
"I would like to put this whole issue behind me and concentrate on playing football."

Loyalty is fine, but blind faith is just damn silly.

Respect for Suarez in admitting his was wrong.

Suarez has been pushed into this by the club Colin...Ian Ayre is more worried about bad PR and Suarez has been hung out to dry. He'll be off in the summer now and the press/media/and Ferguson will have fulfilled their latest witch hunt.

Good job too as he brought the club's name into disrepute and needed his wings clipped.

This is all the FA's fault. Most people haven't even read their judgement on the case and just presume that Suarez must be guilty, because the FA said so. He has been used by the F.A because they want to prove to UEFA and FIFA they have a strong stance against racism. The hearing even said he was probably not a racist, but found him guilty anyway on the say so of one mans word "Evra" who has a record for accusing others over the years...a man who also admitted he abused Suarez yet the F.A did nothing about. Suarez is no saint and is a hot headed player at the best of times, but Evra is a snidey git as is getting away scot free........probably because he plays for the Media and F.A's darlings.

I will watch with interest to see how they handle the John Terry affair if he is found guilty.

As said Suarez got the blame from the outset and had to apologise. He could have forced the handshake but be it the bad blood or Evra's hesitation - he made the wrong split second decision.

Yes I have, and to me it is quite clear something went on and whether he intended to say something or he said it for a reaction it doesn't matter as racial comment was made and he got his just deserts. People just cannot say these things, in the heat of the moment or intentional, both are the same in my book and should be stamped on and wiped out of the game.

As I said before I am a neutral observer with these teams and I despise them both, unlike yourself who cannot see it from an objective point of view, but that is all I am saying on the matter as I am bored of it now and it seems to be all over and done with.
