In case you didn't know Apple have an event on the 7th of March, I reckon it's gotta keep the same so the current smart cover will fit. Same price as previous models and by all accounts it'll have a sh!t hot screen. Any thoughts?

Is that for real?

The concept looks great, although the lack of bezel is probably not ideal practically. It had better not be called the 2S though, its just boring when not much changes. Hopefully a new Apple TV is announced. The invite said "we have something for you to see, and somethign to touch" (along those lines) so hopefully the see refers to Apple TV, and the touch refers to iPad (though the see could refer to the retina display).
Most stupid week to have the announcement (for me anyway). Had Physics and Chemistry tests on monday, Stats test today, another chemistry tommorrow. But after on thursday (when I'll be depressed I can't afford it, and the excitingness will have worn off), I have another Maths test, A Level results day, and fancy dress day (I hate fancy dress) followed by another chemistry assement on Friday.

Here's what you should expect from the announcement, and very nice it is too. The touchscreen - evolved.
Well... did anyone else find that hyperbolic onslaught a little, underwhelming? I think the evolved haptics (linked above) would have been a real step forward and a genuine "killer feature" worth no small amount of salivation whatever your gadget persuasion.
Maybe next year, eh?
The new Apple TV is pathetic, compared to the hype, Where Steve Jobs had said "he finally cracked it". The UI looks pretty much the same as all the other smart TVs.
The new iPad, is better than the iPad 2. And the hi res display is technically great, but Apple doesn't do Technically great, they do it's just great.
Apple could have released an iPad with NFC, new home button/touch bezel, something completely unexpected, but no it's just the same upgrades as the last series of iOS devices, and it doesn't even have the full Siri.
Underwhelming.
It's no coincidence that incrementality of the updates increased with the decrease of time Steve Jobs spent micromanaging. To me this keynote spells the beginning of the end of Apple's little corner.
The current set of phones and tablets on the market (non apple as well) is depressing, those that have great techs aren't simple and "just works", Apple's "just work" but are lacking somewhat on the feature set.

I did enjoy the bit where Samsung tablets explicitly caught a bullet for lazy Android developers, because it's obviously their products fault that some Android app's are just "upscaled" with no added value.
*Rolls eyes*
The iPads announcement was underwhelming for the hardware, won't be upgrading my iPad 2. But I'm loving the software, the iPhoto app is awesome, everything does 'just work'. Edited all the pictures (some nice advanced editing tools), made a 'Journal' and uploaded straight to iCloud and shared my recent trip to Spain (hate using Facebook, my girlfriend won't let me delete it).
Not a fan of the ipad, sorry guys! But it does look pretty.
