    Default Windows 8 Metro App

    Hello All,

Would people be interested in an application that sat on the Windows 8 Metro Screen but ran as an app?

I am a developer and would be happy to work with the TVCatchup team in rolling this out.

Meanwhile, does anyone have any ideas of what you would expect or would like to see within the Metro Application?

Login/Logout, Full Channels List, EPG, Notification Reminders

Toast Notification reminders (not sure if they're called that on desktop), a UI that can be navigated with a remote and a backwards EPG with catchup links (if you're allowed).

Really looking forward to see what you can come up with.

What are you going it in? If its C# you can scale from WP to W8 Metro.

Well I havn't started to code anything as of yet. As the management are still considering if they want to go any further with this idea. It will most likely be done in C# but can also be done using HTML/JavaScript as the new windows apis fully support the use of those web languages. The metro app are without flash but sliverlight is supported on the xbox360, windows 7 phone and windows 8 metro apps - So I guess that would be the direction to go. I can't say for sure what the plan will be as we have no plan as yet. It will be up to the management to decide if they want to proceed any further.

No, as of yet I am still awaiting a response. I'm guessing that their focus is currently on an android application.

Thanks for your interest but we have decided to go with in-house development on this and will not be using third party developers.
