The practice session commentaries reminded me of the low budget commentaries on some other motor sports events. That woman who made the cuts has lost the plot; not only have they given away half the coverage, the quality side of it went too so what they have left is poor. I bet they completely drop live coverage next year.

What a hypocrite Damon Hill is turning into - as last week he was advising against the the race now it seems he is behind the race.

“I am now 100 percent behind the FIA decision to race in Bahrain. All the arguments have been made for and against,”

Me wonders if he is after a job with the Formula One Group and doesn't want to upset Bernie Ecclestone too much.
Be interesting to see how he reacts to things in the future though and see how brown he tongue gets - after he did a fantastic job in saving Silverstone as the President of the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC), kind of lost a bit of respect for him over this.

I'll be watching the race on BBC. Ben Edwards is a fantastic commentator.

How the mighty are fallen, and what an unexpected top ten. Bodes well for an interesting race tomorrow. Mercedes front row.. did I hear that it's the first Mercedes pole since the 1950s? Ah, just heard it: first time since 1955 that there's been a Mercedes in pole position when there was also a front row lockout; Fangio and Moss.

Before anyone asks, re Hamilton, the game scores for qualifying are based on his finishing position in qualifying. His 5 position grid penalty concerns the race - not qualifying. In the race, movement-in-the-race points will be based on his actual starting position.
