    Default No audio!

Just found this site and plugin, its really awesome and I hope to use it, however, I get no audio when watching any channels in XBMC. It looks fine, XBMC picks up the audo stream, but there is no output? All other aplications work fine, so not sure what the problem is.

Attached the log incase it helps.

Ok, can you just double check its ok in a browser for me please? Also, have you got the iPlayer plugin installed and if so, do the live streams from them work too? Oh and one last thing, are you using the old plugin or the one with the EPG?

It seems to work fine in the browser. The iplayer stream works fine for live TV (for recorded shows it seems to just fast forward, but thats another issue I think).

I have tried both plugins and neither had audio.

I am using passthrough audio via HDMI. I dont get any sound level registering in the windows audio controls, but do for iplayer.

    The latest Eden build.

I installed it on my laptop and it worked fine, but I did notice some differences when I installed. On the Laptop it installed as it should do and appeared in tv addons.

On my htpc, after installed from a zip file, it did not appear in addons straight away, I had to do a search for it in addons and install then enable it.

If I search for catchup on the laptop Addons area, I can't see the addon, but can in enabled addons -> Programmes, and it is named TVCatchup. On the htpc, If i go into program addons I see it named as TVCatchup 2.0 with EPG. If I do a search for addons, I see: Media sources - TVCatchup (disabed), Script - TVCatchup 2.0 with EPG (enabled), TVCatchup's XCMC ADD-ons (Enabled)

I have tried un-installing and re-installed, but still the same problem. Any ideas?

This happens all the time on Linux installs and the addon never behaves properly if done this way. I know your using Windows, but uninstall the addon, quit and restart XBMC, install the addon, quit and restart XBMC. On an Linux install everything now works fine, give it a go see what mileage you get.

I was using the repositary on the htpc, but version 2.0.2 on the laptop which explains the differences in install. Which one should I be using?

I tried 2.0.2 on the htpc, but still nothing

I have tried Directsound and WASPI settings. I notice my AV reciever does change modes when I start playing a stream, but still no video. It's really strange as everything seems to be working, if I press O when a stream is playing, it gives me all the info, XBMC displays the audio type, but nothing in the sound output levels.

Fixed it, I needed to select "Output Stereo to all speakers" and save as default and now it works! Woo

Might be an idea to add this to an FAQ

Glad you sorted it. With regards to which version, you should really be on 2.0.21as it's got loads of but fixes in it.
