Chosing which advert to watch

As much as I hate adverts, I realise that they are what pay for the service and that it is a small price to pay. So although I thoroughly hate them, I am happy for them to be there.

When I was a child and I was naughty, my dad would sometimes make me chose which implement I was to be beaten with. It really added insult to injury.

When I load a channel on TVC and it asks me to chose which advert to watch, this is exactly how I feel. I don't want to watch an advert any more than I want a beating. Forcing me to chose which one I watch is an utter piss take considering I dont want to watch either. And if I refuse to chose, I have to wait an extra 10 seconds for it to chose for me which is even more irritating.

So please remove this feature if you haven't already. We're happy to endure the torture of sitting through annoying adverts, please don't make us chose the implements of our torture.

Okay, I have been through six adverts now by refreshing and I cannot see this, are you talking about the webplayer?

I cannot see anywhere to choose an advert and maybe I have missed it, but I have been through twenty adverts now and not seen this, and maybe you are confused with the message from the advertiser in the top R/H corner, see screenshots:

We have had an interactive in the past that required a choice, ive not seen one recently. I guess it depends on the choices the user and what path they wish to take with the short advert.

It is more of a link to another site really. The poster is on about 'choosing which advert to watch', which for the life of me I cannot find nor have I seen it or been informed about it, which I usually am.

A few campaigns do consist of a period where you have to choose from one of two videos, unfortunately these are from the advertiser and aren't something TVC can control unfortunately. We obviously are always looking at the best ways of making ads as unobtrusive as possible, but there's a fine balance between upsetting users and upsetting advertisers and unfortunately sometimes we get that balance wrong, however we like to think most of the time we get it right
