Ooooooooook, that's interesting It's failing without an error code. Can you check that your timezone is right and also make sure that the clock is set to 24 hour please?

ok changed time and date settings still, got an error i'm no longer seeing please check date and time it just says an error has occured and a log file can be sent so you should now have 3 error logs?

Ok, I'm getting the error reports, but they aren't telling me anything I didn't already know. I've just changed something on the server so can you try again please?

still exactly the same i'm wondering if maybe there is a pref file i am missing as it is asking me to enter username and password each time and saves no settings in the plugin

I think I might have just worked out what's wrong If I'm right, you're using Linux aren't you? I need you to check and possibly change the permissions on the userdata folder. You should find it at /home/.xbmc and if you do

chmod -R 0777 /home/.xbmc

and try that.

still nothing tried by both sudoing and 0777 it all still asks for username and password, could you supply me a conf file i can manually copy and fill out myself?

I can, but if there's a permissions issue, which I think there is, then it probably won't let you create the file. Can you check and makes sure you've got a .xbmc folder within your home folder please? Also, all I can see is you're on Linux, so can you tell me what flavour you're running as it'll help me work out where the folder should be

Scratch that, I missed the info in the error report. You need to do

chmod -R 0777 /home/joe/.xbmc/userdata/

filled it in and just decided to change stream value to 1 and working?????
